Xbox Game Pass members are set to be treated to two incredible additions to the library, making them available to play at no extra cost.

As well as featuring one “intoxicating” dungeon crawler, the other includes a stunning 4K 60fps remaster.

So what is up for grabs to kick off a brand-new year?

Well, first up is Brews & Bastards, a dungeon crawler and twin-stick shooter “overflowing with action-packed combat, potent brews and outlandish bosses”.

Developed by Mune Studio, Brews & Bastards was first released back in September and has now made its way to the Xbox Game Pass library.

Players will need to pick from a bunch of inebriated heroes and blast their way through hordes of drunken demons in search of the stolen Brew Stone.

This title is perfect for beer lovers and fans of the dungeon crawler genre as a whole.

However, it is the second title that has the most promise as Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is also heading to Xbox Game Pass.

As an enhanced version of 2017’s puzzle-platform horror game Little Nightmares, the Enhanced Edition includes 4K resolution and will reach 60fps with enhanced graphical features to boot.

First launching in October 2025, this remaster features all of the fun and horror from the original as players take on the role of Six, a hungry little girl who must escape the Maw, an underwater vessel inhabited by monstrous beings.

With Little Nightmares II and Little Nightmares III releasing in 2021 and 2025 respectively, this will make the perfect excuse to dive into the beloved horror series.

Subscribers Have Been Sharing Their Thoughts

“Good news,” one Reddit user shared over on r/xbox. “Been wanting to play this one for so loooong.”

However, user kociou was feeling less than impressed.

“8-year old game that's available for 2 bucks?” They wrote.

“Wow, they’re killing it with December and January titles…”

Nevertheless, Little Nightmares and Brews & Bastards are both now available for free if you are an Xbox Game Pass member and what better way to kick off the year than getting drunk and enjoying one of the most popular horror games?

It would especially be fitting considering that we at GAMINGbible much preferred the original Little Nightmares compared to the most recent third entry.

In our review, our very own Sam Cawley said, “less isn’t always more”.

“Visually, the game is on point with some gorgeous and intriguing settings, but they lack depth and get moved along too quickly,” he wrote.

“The story is the biggest drawback though, and if you’re expecting a story on par with the first game’s, look somewhere else.”
