Xbox gamers warned to claim free Game Pass while they can

If you want an easy path to claim a free Xbox Game Pass subscription, you’re in the right place but only have a limited time.

Xbox Game Pass is one of the best bargains in video games. Depending on the tier you subscribe to, you can have instant access to a library of hundreds of titles, free DLC, discounts and more.

You can even get access to first-party Xbox games, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and South of Midnight, as well as the upcoming prequel from ID Software, DOOM: The Dark Ages.

Despite being reasonably priced regardless of the tier, it’s always a bonus if you can claim Xbox Game Pass subscriptions for free via reward schemes such as Microsoft Rewards.

Microsoft Rewards will give you points for playing Xbox Game Pass titles, taking part in easy questionnaires, using the Bing web browser and more.

Those points can not only be spent on Xbox Game Pass or Xbox store credit but even used as discounts on the Microsoft Store against Xbox accessories and even consoles.

“The ones from MS Rewards do expire. There should be a date in the email with the code,” answered Hickory411. “However, you can stack up to three years on your account. So unless you already have three years on your account, you can just redeem them now.”

“I think Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expiry lasts about 15 to 16 months from the date of redemption using reward points,” replied Gabriel388a. “Gamepass Core has no expiry date from the date of redemption when using reward points.”

In a nutshell, as soon as you accumulate enough points to buy what you want, at the risk of them expiring, spend them before you forget or as Hickory411 mentions, stack them.
