If you’ve ever wanted to play a game for free that blends the worlds of Valheim and Stardew Valley, then today is your lucky day.

On the surface, Valheim and Stardew Valley are different games at first glance but do share some similarities. For starters, both games are massive indie successes and secondly, they both left us to craft our digitised worlds until our hearts are content.

Check out the My Time at Sandrock trailer below!

That being said, one lets you ruthlessly murder everything that moves and the other will make you feel guilty if you so much as look at an NPC the wrong way. However, if you wanted a slight change of pace but still more of the same than Valheim or Stardew Valley, then My Time at Sandrock might tickle your fancy.

“Travel to the desert community of Sandrock and take on the role of a fledgling Builder. Use your trusty toolset to gather resources, construct machines, and turn your run-down workshop into a well-oiled production facility to save the town from the jaws of economic ruin,” reads the synopsis of My Time at Sandrock.

If you wanted to check out My Time at Sandrock but were unsure as to whether you want to dive right in and part with your hard-earned money, there are a couple of non-taxing ways that you can play this game.

If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, My Time at Sandrock is available at no extra cost or you can simply download its free playable demo right now. The demo is also headed to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in the near future (if not now for you time travellers).

My Time at Sandrock is out on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, if this demo proves to be fun, it will be money well spent.
