An Xbox player has received a cheeky $300 from Microsoft as an apology, and now we’re all demanding a sorry from daddy Xbox.

The Reddit post that details what happened begins, “Sorry, long story. I just got a free $300,” and goes on to detail how this Xbox player lucked out.

Everything is an Xbox. You're probably an Xbox, too.

The post continues, “I used 200k points to get $210 in Microsoft gift cards. I also redeemed a $100 Xbox gift card that I bought from Costco. I then used all of those credits along with my credit card to buy a Series X.”

Scared-Sample-4144 goes on to say they received an email from Microsoft saying they’d run into “some issues” with the order.

The company then voided the order. However, the Redditor goes on to say, “I've been looking at my account and my order for the series x was never cancelled, and actually shipped!”

On top of this, Microsoft also refunded the original gift card and points back into their account, meaning they had $300 to spend, again.

“Redeem the other 300usd before they void it again,” commented nishweb.

To which the original user said, “I just ordered an elite controller and a headset. Order looks good so far.”

This is, of course, likely to be an issue at Microsoft and a very lucky moment for the player.

But, it continues. Hickory411 asked, “Did you check your credit card to see if it was charged the full amount for the Xbox?”

Scared-Sample-4144 replied, “Holy crap. I just looked, and they charged me the leftover $140, and now I have a REFUND for the $140!”

All of this, and they still got the Xbox Series X. If I was this person, I’d be buying a lottery ticket.

Another user does warn, “If they catch on to what happened, you could end up having spent a lot more money than you intended.”

I hope Microsoft acts the good guy here and lets this fan enjoy their freebies.
