Xbox players have a killer open-world game to play right now, for free as well, what more could you ask for?

Xbox Game Pass continues to be the best video game subscription service on the market right now. PlayStation Plus and Nintendo Switch Online have their merits but you can't deny the output from Xbox’s service has been outstanding so far.

Now it’s welcoming yet another banger to its roster of games, GTA V

If you’re getting a sense of deja-vu that’s probably because GTA V has been part of Xbox Game Pass before, in fact if memory serves it’s been on and off the subscription service several times over the past few years.

It’s anyone’s guess as to why, but the point is it’s back and probably just in time for another GTA VI trailer.

GTA VI is still awaiting another trailer or teaser following last year’s showing, and you never know, maybe Xbox knows something that we don’t, hence it’s added the game’s predecessor to its service once again.

Subscribers will be able to dive back into Los Santos if they hadn’t already and re-experience the interconnected story of Michael, Franklin and Trevor, or hop into GTA: Online for some multiplayer fun.

It’s great to have the game back on Xbox Game Pass, and hopefully this time it sticks around for longer especially for those who somehow haven’t played it yet.

As for GTA VI, we’ll just have to continue waiting for that elusive second trailer, which fans reckon has to drop soon to be in-line with the game’s marketing campaign.

Theories place the game’s release date sometime in October or November which means Rockstar Games will likely want to take advantage of the Summer to get the gameplay and trailers out in the open, though it’ll of course be competing with the Nintendo Switch 2 as well.

That said, do we really need marketing for GTA VI? We all know we’re going to be playing it regardless.
