Forza Horizon 6 players have been sharing their experiences of “Bowie Knife99”, a player who has gone viral for their drivatar’s aggressive behaviour.
Forza Horizon 6 is only just over a week old, but it might have already found its first viral legend thanks to Bowie Knife99’s unscrupulous driving skills.
When I say skills, I don’t mean they’re good at clearing races or putting up a good competition with other players. Instead, the player has become a source of frustration among the Forza Horizon 6 community.
Instead, viral clips and memes have been shared of players encountering this Bowie Knife99, who has become infamous within racing game circles for their aggressive driving behaviour and unsportsman-like conduct.

As Kotaku reports, Bowie Knife99 is the ‘drivatar’ of a real player. How this essentially works is that Forza Horizon 6 constantly records your behaviour and habits while driving.
It’ll log how you choose to take corners, how often you drift, how much you brake, and so on. It’ll also keep track of how aggressive you behave against other drivers. Following this, it’ll use these records to create a digital AI driver that can be pitted against other players in online races.
It seems that Forza Horizon 6 has decided that Bowie Knife99 is a bit of madlad, who chooses to go out of their way to become aggressive against other players whenever they get the opportunity to.
Bowie Knife99 will ram, push, shove, or otherwise knock you out of the race every chance they get, and it’s starting to frustrate the Forza Horizon 6 playerbase.

Clips started surfacing over the weekend of Bowie Knife99 causing mayhem on the track, with one player summarising the situation as “you can not go a single race on Expert/Pro without him pulling some stunt to ruin the whole entire race for you.”
The maniac has become so infamous, that even the official Xbox social media account has acknowledged their behaviour, writing “Happy Bank Holiday Monday to everyone except bowie knife99” on X (formerly Twitter).

Popular theory suggests that Bowie Knife99 is based on the driving habits of a Forza influencer who played the game early, which is why their Drivatar was seemingly available in the game from Day 1.
However, there’s no real way of knowing for sure who this is. It could just be someone who downloaded the game on a whim from Xbox Game Pass, played it for a few hours and had fun crashing into things, and then deleted it from their console.
Until the real Bowie Knife99 stands up, I guess we’ll just have to keep a watchful eye out and avoid any of his unruly behaviour.
