The Elder Scrolls VI will reportedly be much bigger than we originally thought, with players setting sail across the sea to explore all of it.

We’re yet to see any official gameplay of The Elder Scrolls VI yet, but many have high hopes Bethesda will finally show off something this year to take some of the spotlight off other massive games like GTA VI and Ghost Of Yōtei.

Hopefully that’s true because this teaser trailer is older than Skyrim was when The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced

To ease the pain of waiting though there are some fresh leaks to dive into, and they contain some spicy alleged details about Bethesda’s next masterpiece.

The leaks come from Extas1s, and have been translated and reiterated in a Reddit thread by IcePopsicleDragon.

It states that the game will be “more immersive” with fast load times and take place across both Hammerfell and High Rock, with players travelling across seas and exploring islands along the way.

Apparently you’ll be able to build your own ship much like the starship building in Starfield, and like that game you’ll be able to fight other ships out on the water.

There are other details but one of the big ones is the game will apparently be shown off sometime during July this year.

This is huge as we've been staring at that teaser trailer for years now, and even when Bethesda officially acknowledged the game for the first time in ages earlier this week it still used that same image of a landscape.

Of course we can’t take anything as fact until we see the gameplay or Bethesda confirms the speculation, but if the leaks are credible it sounds like The Elder Scrolls VI will be well-worth the wait.

Unfortunately it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that we’ll see the game this year, as 2026 or even 2027 at a push sound more realistic.
