Nothing should come between a gamer and their sex games collection; it’s a sacred space, one where we can act out fantasies in a non-judgemental space. Assuming you don’t accidentally stream said game to a co-worker or your family. Fortunately, those embarrassments of the past could disappear forever because Steam is working on an update to keep those sexy games secret.

We all remember the gamer who slipped up while giving a work presentation to his boss, showcasing his passion for elves, sex, and farms. Oh yes, that story is etched into my brain, mainly because the images I saw were unforgettable in the worst of ways.

Another sexy game worth playing is Baldur's Gate 3 – it's saucy!

It’s the stuff of nightmares – the showing off your sex game, not the game itself, though that’s up for debate. Whether this amusing FML moment has encouraged Steam to begin working on the update, or whether this was already a feature in the making, we can’t say for sure. Either way though, this update would be a game changer.

Personally, I haven’t got any NSFW titles on my Steam, but because I am fascinated with dating simulators (I Love You, Colonel Sanders! is a banger), I too would prefer it if some games in my library could remain hidden. At the moment, you can set your Steam profile, which includes your games, to private so that nobody can witness your shame (or pride).

However, it’s an imperfect system, one which doesn’t allow much wiggle room. If Valve changes its system so you can hide individual games, that allows you to have a public profile while also keeping your more illicit interests under wraps. Not that we always shy away from airing our carnal interests, with Harry Potter fans recently discovering, and announcing, a hidden sex scene in the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Sadly, this isn’t a feature currently available, with the intended update but a rumour whispered on the winds of the industry. Nonetheless, it’s definitely a feature I could see Valve embracing, especially since adult content is becoming more prominent on Steam. For now though, stay tuned to see if and/or when such an update will roll out.
