I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Gaming is an expensive hobby, and that’s a problem that’s only increasing with each console generation as prices for games and consoles alike continue to rise.

It’s no surprise really that the majority of gamers are in agreement that they’ll no longer spend £70 on new releases, particularly if they’re unfamiliar IPs. There’s also the fact that so many games have been released when it’s clear they need a little bit more time in the oven. With that in mind, many are turning to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass - or waiting until certain titles go on sale. Here at GAMINGbible, we also like to keep you clued in on the latest free releases as gaming should be accessible to all, regardless of budget. If you’re on the lookout for a new action-RPG, you may want to grab Divilixa on Steam as it won’t be free for much longer.

Diablo IV recently launched on Steam.

Developed and published by Ice-Cold Shivering Studios, Divilixa is a 2D action-RPG. It’s described as being “a game about strife, sacrifice and insanity. Take the war down into the core of the underworld. Fight the darkness. Be the saviour.” As the main character, you awaken in a dungeon, filled with the undead and monsters. It’s up to you to fight your way out this dungeon whilst also attempting to discover its secrets.

You’ll be able to create your own character, picking from six warrior-type classes: fierce warrior, sturdy soldier, tavern-visited fighter, natural barbarian, armoured knight, and the holy templar. Each class has its own relevant skills as well as starting stats. One reviewer wrote, “GG. Really like combat mechanics,” while another added, “Fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls.”

At the time of writing, Divilixa is free-to-play on Steam but as pointed out by Twitter account SteamGamesPC, it’ll soon switch over to being a paid title. If you want to nab it while it’s free, act now. Simply click play now and enjoy. There’s no word on when the free availability will end.
