Steam makes hit RPG free to keep if you claim in next 72 hours

A hit RPG with an 82% positive rating score has just been made free to keep on Steam, but you only have 72 hours left to claim the offer.

If you’re like me and love a good role-playing game, you might be trying to figure out what the next big adventure might be.

If you’re a little indecisive (also like me), Steam has just made a popular strategy RPG title completely free to keep, but only if you claim it before Thursday.

Fantasy General 2 is a turn-based RPG which launched in 2019, and is currently being offered away for free on Steam for the next 72 hours.

“Fantasy General 2: Invasion is the reimagination of the strategy game classic from the 90s,” reads the official game description. “Armies once again draw battle-lines on the war-torn land of Keldonia, and a new generation of commanders will test their bravery and tactics against each other. Fantasy wargaming is back!”

Judging from the system requirements, it seems as though Fantasy General 2 will run on pretty much any machine from the past decade.

Although it has less than a thousand reviews on Steam, the game has been pretty well received from those that have rated it. It currently has 82% on Steam, indicating a “Very Positive” rating.

One review with 102 hours of logged playtime calls Fantasy General 2 a “fun, focused tactics game that delivers satisfying combat and a nostalgic fantasy feel.”

“A decent game, taking into account that most of the content seems to be in DLCs, but this base game includes one campaign for one faction,” writes another reviewer.

“Hopefully it's worth the $0.00 that I spent on it,” jokes another review.
