Steam Gamers Celebrating Huge 2025 Release With Free Giveaway
The wait is finally over
Today is the day! After eight years of waiting which felt more like a lifetime, Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally here.
Well, in an hour.
As the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong is a Metroidvania title developed and published by Australian indie developer Team Cherry.
Although the sequel was first revealed back in February 2019, it was only last month that its release date was finally announced and, much to fan’s delight, that time has finally come.

With Team Cherry claiming that the delay and lack of updates was purely because it was having too much fun creating the sequel, fans are eager to see if Silksong will live up to the success of its predecessor.
The good news does not stop there as it has been revealed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will cost just £19.99.
Although this is standard for an indie game, the success of Hollow Knight could have allowed Team Cherry to be a bit cheeky with the sequel’s price so it is reassuring to see that it is pretty affordable.
However, there is nothing better than a free game and RewardXP over on r/steam_giveaway is giving away three copies of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
“We’ve all waited 6 years for this moment and it’s finally here. Our team is taking the day off to play Hollow Knight: Silksong and we want to share the love with this community,” the post reads.
To enter, fans must leave a comment which shares their most memorable moment from the first game.
Then, on 7 September, three winners will be announced and handed a free Steam key for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
With almost 800 entries so far, this is going to be a tough giveaway to win but with Silksong expected to be a potential Game of the Year entree, this is not one you are going to want to miss out on.
