Grand Theft Auto clones are becoming more and more rare and let’s face it, who would want to compete with the most highly-anticipated game release of the past decade?

However, this upcoming 3rd-person action game has elements of both Grand Theft Auto VI and Sleeping Dogs and better yet, it is free to try out on Steam right now.

It wouldn't hurt to check out the GTA VI trailer one more time right?

Acts of Blood is an upcoming beat-'em up 3rd-person action game from developers Eksil Team.

Set in the dystopian city of Bandung, Indonesia, Acts of Blood focuses on fast-paced, brutal hand-to-hand combat as players follow the story of Hendra whose life is torn apart after the murder of his family.

Killed by his father’s business rival, Hendra soon learns that he is on his own as the city’s corrupt legal system is doing everything it can to protect the killers. As a result, he must set out on a quest for revenge to make the powerful group behind the attack pay for their crimes.

The player will have to take part in brutal, hand-to-hand combat against waves of enemies with the objective to defeat a series of foes before “unlocking” a boss at each level.

Using brutal combat movements, various melee and firearm weapons and fluid chains of bone-crushing attacks, dodges, and counters, fighting will be as gruesome as possible but so worth it.

In Acts of Blood, the environment will help rather than hinder as you can use its destruction to aid you in fights.

“Players can shatter furniture, and use props as weapons, making fights unpredictably chaotic and allowing for creative, ruthless tactical approaches,” the official Steam page reads.

However, sometimes you will need to escape for a while and luckily, parkour will help in this endeavour as Hendra can run, jump and climb through levels to integrate agility into fast-paced combat.

Last but not least, Hendra can dress for the occasion with a variety of different outfit customisations to match either your vibe or what the mission needs.

Acts of Blood does not yet have a full release date but a free demo is now free to play over on Steam.
