You can download and play a Ghost of Tsushima-style game for free that looks oddly familiar, somehow.

Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, when Ghost of Tsushima was first released in 2020 on PlayStation 4, it instantly became one of the best games of that generation, roughly a year before the arrival of the PlayStation 5.

Check out the Yasuke Simulator trailer below!

Ghost of Tsushima would then get a port on the new-gen console before it arrived on PC in 2024. Now fans are eagerly awaiting the release of its PlayStation 5 sequel, Ghost of Yotei.

While we wait for the arrival of Ghost of Yotei, we can look forward to Ubisoft’s next entry in its stealthy series (sadly, not Splinter Cell) with Assassin’s Creed Shadows later this month on 20 March but if that wasn't enough assassin goodness for you, there is another game releasing on that very same day.

The other game in question is the indie Steam title, Yasuke Simulator which features a playable character that has a striking resemblance to the historical figure, Yasuke, one of the protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

“Step into 1579 as Yasuke, the African samurai, and join Oda Nobunaga in his quest to unite Japan. Master precise katana combat, uncover secret gear, and unleash your ancestral power in this historically inspired action-packed journey through feudal Japan,” reads the description of the game.

Developed by the studio named HistoryAccurateDevelopers, the trailer for Yasuke Simulator looks absolutely bonkers featuring machine guns and drivable cars in feudal Japan. It’s as silly as it sounds and I’m all for it.

You can download the free playable demo for Yasuke Simulator right now on Steam ahead of its launch in a couple of weeks.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
