As if the Steam Summer sale wasn’t bad enough for our backlogs, we’ve now got several free games to add to the digital pile.

Steam is currently celebrating summer with massive discounts on thousands of games, but that hasn’t stopped them pushing through more freebies for you to add to your library.

Don’t blame me, blame Steam, or maybe start actually playing the games you bought in the summer sale back in 2020. Yeah, I’m talking about you.

Let’s get onto the games, shall we?

The first to download is Satori, a picturesque and gorgeous meditation on life, that ushers the player through lovely vistas in a dream world.

The game focuses on restlessness and sadness, perfect for sad boy summer, as you’re tucked away from the sunlight with the curtains closed.

Sneaky Pirates brings together players in a fast-paced action game where you’ll plunder other ships, hide from captains, and try to sink your opponents.

This one is in early access, but it’s free-to-play, so you can watch as the game grows from player feedback.

The next game is a very short experience, lasting around 15–30 minutes, as you guide a deserted survivor back to their life.

Lost Island is a pixel adventure with some exploration, along with a very loose story.

Lastly, we’ve got Whispers of the Village, a visual novel filled with mystery and intriguing puzzles.

There’s some delightful artwork here, and several characters to get to know as you talk to them, urging them to open up to you.

Get over to Steam, add these games to your library, and explore them as you try to avoid the burning summer days we’re currently living through; barrelling towards the point of no return in global warming and the planet crumbles around us.

Have a great time gaming with these!
