If you’re looking for a new zombie-survival shooter to play, look no further than the latest freebie being offered on Steam.
It’s a simple concept but one that almost never gets old, shooting zombies in a fictional world and trying to survive as long as possible. However, what was once a staple of gaming back in the mid-2000s has stagnated a bit, with arguably the king of them all, Call Of Duty: Zombies being a shell of its former self and not worth the time.

Luckily there’s still the odd zombie game that’s ironically alive and kicking, one of which is available on Steam right now for free and has plenty of superb reviews.

It’s called No More Room In Hell, and it’s completely free to play. Releasing in 2011, it’s a cooperative shooter a bit like Left 4 Dead, though with more of a focus on horror than nonchalantly blasting undead and having a laugh with your buddies.
No More Room In Hell’s official description reads: “The chances of you surviving this all-out war of society and the undead are slim to none. Already, there are millions of the walking dead shambling about, searching for food to eat. There's no known cure. One bite can possibly end it all for you. However, you aren't alone in this nightmare.”
For a free-to-play game released in 2011, it’s got incredibly good reviews, many of which compare it to CS:GO but fighting zombies instead of people.
A sequel is also on the way, No More Room In Hell 2, so if you try the game out and enjoy it you’ll have a brand-new entry to play very soon.
