Steam gamers warned they've 72 hours to grab free game

Grab it while you can

If you call yourself a Steam user, you can grab yourself a free game, but you’ve only got 72 hours to do it.

This isn’t one to download and keep - think of it more as a free trial. Steam is always offering up opportunities to play something new, and this could keep you going over the weekend.

Get ready for tennis with this freebie on Steam

The game in question is TIEBREAK: Official game of the ATP and WTA, which makes it a tennis game and as someone who knows little to nothing about tennis, this will be an interesting article.

Filled with licensed tennis stars, you’ll be able to play as your favourite player as you vye for victory and attempt to win championships.

You can “Compete as, or against, immortal stars such as Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal, or Naomi Osaka.”

I didn’t realise tennis players were immortal. That’s pretty awesome, do they get that as part of a prize?

There are male players and female players, which is nice, isn’t it?

According to the Steam page, you will be able to “reproduce their signature techniques and strategies” while you play and hit the ball over the net, keeping it within the lines and such.

I assume you’ll be able to win lots of trophies, and they have those big shiny plates as well, right?

You can only use a controller on this PC game, and I suppose this is so you can really feel the “power of each shot” and *checks notes* “embrace the challenge.”

I bet tennis fans are going to love this one as they swing their bats and play against pro athletes from throughout history via the “authentic schedule across multiple years.”

It’ll be game, set and match for you and your balls in this wonderful simulation of a round of tennis.
