Skyrim fans will enjoy Steam's latest free download

Fans of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will likely get a kick out of this Steam game, which you can sample for free right now.

At the time of writing, Skyrim is still arguably the best game Bethesda has ever made, if you don’t count Fallout: New Vegas as a Bethesda game.

It’s still got loads of players and for good reason, as the open-world is still an impressive showcase of immersion and adventure.

The game is old though, soon to be replaced by The Elder Scrolls VI but there’s still no trailer for that game so for the time being, we’re sticking with Skyrim.

If you have Steam though, there’s a game on there you can try for free that’s very Skyrim-coded, perfect if you’re looking for a quick break.

It’s called Shadows of Morhaven and there’s a demo of it available now, with the full-game coming sometime in the future.

The game’s description reads: "Immerse yourself in a hand-crafted, dark fantasy world, experience fast-paced dungeon crawling, collect epic loot, and conquer evil while you're at it.”

It’s a classic dungeon-crawler, and while it’s not on the technical level of Skyrim, the inspiration is clear to see, and it looks good.

For me personally, it gives off a strong Runescape vibe as well, so if that’s your cup of tea, there’s even more reason to check it out.

Unfortunately, if you like what you play, you’ll be waiting a bit until the rest of the game is released, and there’s no official word on when that will be.

For updates though you can tune into the official Discord, worth doing if you like the look of the game and want to follow its progress.
