If you’re a fan of the classic survival horror series Resident Evil and Silent Hill, then you need to check out this upcoming game that you can sample for free on Steam today.

Few would argue against the statement that it doesn't get much more iconic in the world of survival horror than Capcom’s Resident Evil and Konami’s Silent Hill. While both share the same genre, each offers something a little different for horror fans.

Check out the Post Trauma trailer below!

Resident Evil is more action-orientated with plenty of horrific scares, while Silent Hill is more about the slow-burn, psychological vibes. This is why each franchise has arguably existed alongside each other for so many years with great success.

More recently, fans were reintroduced to one of the greatest horror games of all time, Silent Hill 2 - and hopefully, 2025 will see the release of the next Resident Evil title.

Due to the never-ending popularity of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, we have seen countless games (for better or worse) wanting a slice of that survival horror pie. One such game is an upcoming indie title developed by Red Soul Games called Post Trauma.

“Post Trauma is a modern-day survival horror, inspired by genre-defining classics,” reads the synopsis on Steam. “You awaken to find yourself in a twisted reality full of mind-bending puzzles, breathtaking tension, and unspeakable nightmares. Will you find a way home?”

As brought to our attention by DSOGaming, a new playable demo for Post Trauma was announced during Steam’s Next Fest event.

The demo is only available for a limited time with it being removed from the Steam platform on 3 March 2025. So if you want to experience a taste of this promising survival horror title, you might want to download it now to avoid missing out.

Following a delay in 2024, there is currently no newly confirmed release date for Post Trauma but hopefully, it will arrive at some point this year.

Post Trauma will be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
