There’s a new horror game on Steam that is well worth your attention, if you’re the kind of player who likes to be spooked.

LockYourDoor is an online co-op experience that puts you within a group of people looking for a lost friend called Darvin.

Plenty of the spooky vibes here are reminding us of Resident Evil

Sounds to me like Darvin is a bit of a liability and perhaps should be left to their fate, as this scary house they’re trapped in is giving off major Resident Evil vibes.

The game currently has a demo that is free to download and play, though there is no release date planned or mentioned on the Steam page.

According to the synopsis, LockYourDoor will force you to “try your best to stay alive and confront different nightmares. Plan carefully and be clever to survive.”

Some of the screenshots are creepy as hell, making me think that the developer, Mert Çağlayan, has been inspired by the likes of Silent Hill, and the short-lived PT for PlayStation.

It seems you’ll be exploring, finding items to use and solve puzzles, all while fending off horrible monsters, and possibly ghosts.

There’s a lot to see once you shine your torch on what lurks in the darkness.

A note in the game’s description does say you can betray the other players, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a social element to this one.

Throughout play, keys will be found for the myriad doors in the building.

“Those keys can be used to lock-unlock certain doors for certain purposes. When night falls, players must be prepared to face the terrifying nightmares lurking in the dark.”

Hence, the name of the game, I suppose.

There’s no timeframe on the demo, so you should be able to play it as much as like once it is added to your library.
