Halo and Doom fans are going to love this killer Steam game, that has no right looking as fun as it does.

As a Halo fan I’m yearning for a new sci-fi shooter to play, and for the time being I’ve been enjoying Doom: The Dark Ages, which says a lot because the new Doom game has more of a Dark Souls feel to it with the medieval setting and weapons.

With that in mind check out the Steam game below that combines the best of both worlds, it’s called Deadzone: Rogue and it’s interesting to say the least.

The game’s description reads: “Deadzone: Rogue is a roguelite FPS set in deep space. Blast through hordes of enemies with devastating weapons. Define your combat style with powerful augments and upgrades. Grow stronger with each death, solo or in co-op. Fight. Die. Revive.”

Players will be zipping around like Doomslayer but using an array of weapons that wouldn’t be out of place in a Halo game, or even Titanfall for that matter.

It’s basically a roguelike you can play with your friends, kind of what Elden Ring has become with the soon-to-be-released Elden Ring: Nightreign…

The gameplay and screenshots look solid though so we’re more than interested in checking out the full game.

At the time of writing it’s currently in early-access but don’t let that put you off, as it’s currently sitting at a Very Positive rating on the Steam store following over 3,000 reviews, very healthy.

It definitely looks like it’s worth checking out if you’re after a new first-person shooter to play, and being able to play it with friends is just the cherry on top.

While you’re playing, I’m going to continue to sulk about how the next Halo game is probably years away, and there’s no guarantee nowadays that it’ll be worth the wait…
