If you’re after an intense open-world FPS on Steam with elements of Far Cry, Valheim and Fallout, then look no further than this upcoming title.

Whatever you may or may not think of Ubisoft’s tried and tested formula of the Far Cry series, there’s little denying that at its core, they offer fun FPS gameplay and in each generation, they look gorgeous to boot.

Check out the Deadzone trailer below!

That being said, I assume when Ubisoft finally releases Far Cry 7, many fans will be hoping that it does try something new for the series and hopefully, the map won't be littered with outposts and towers to unlock. However, I do hope we’ll see the return of the over-powered Honey Badger

As for Valheim, this has been one of the more successful open-world multiplayer survival games and despite initially launching in 2021, according to SteamDB, it maintains a decent amount of concurrent players to this day.

Bethesda’s Fallout, on the other hand, has been one of the most popular post-apocalyptic RPGs of all time since the series' inception in 1997.

So what is the game that can be described as Far Cry meets Valheim and Fallout, I hear you ask? Well, as clearly seen in the trailer above, the game in question is the promising indie title from Eshed, Deadzone.

“Dreadzone is a survival game set in a deadly quarantine zone. Scavenge for resources, craft tools, build shelter, and survive against dangerous animals, zombies, mutants, and other survivors,” reads the description of the game on Steam. “Explore the zone where desperation drives everyone to do whatever it takes to survive.”

At the time of writing, Deadzone does not have a release date but it is set to launch as an early access title on Steam. Hopefully, that early access will launch at some point this year.

In the meantime, be sure to wishlist Deadzone on Steam to be notified of its early access arrival as well as its eventual full release date.
