Fallout 5’s release is just too far away for us to get properly hyped about.

What is more, with the next best thing soon to be released in March, we find ourselves less concerned with Bethesda’s next Fallout title.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world troubled by all sorts of nightmarish creatures, you need to fight your way through to make it out alive.

You may have already guessed which upcoming title we’re referring to, but in case you need a helping hand we'll spell it out for you; we’re talking about Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone.

Due for release at some point later this year, its developers – The Farm 51 – have revealed that the game will launch in early access on Steam from 6 March.

This realistic open-world experience has much depth to it, yet it reportedly won’t hold your hand along the way.

Sporting a “non-linear” narrative, “you must fight for survival and unite the handful of remaining survivors”.

That’s a huge task for you to undertake, but we have faith in your abilities.

The reception to the early access trailer has been extremely positive, with fans even more hyped about this release.

“Alright already invested, but I love this even more [...] love the trailer, it's perfect,” commented YouTube user @ChibarixTaito.

“I'm so excited for this, Igor is back?!” posted @fullsendabeerforme2988. “Definitely pre-ordering the second I can!”

Its “outstanding trailer” is virtually all anyone can talk about, however, there are a few gripes to be found within the comments.

Chiefly, due to the fact that early access is only for PC users and not console ones.

Frustrating though this is, all the feedback received during early access will help fine-tune the game ready for its console release. All good things come to those who wait, or so the saying goes.

For those of you able to join in, 6 March can’t come quickly enough.
