Fans of old-school horror and soulslike titles will love this upcoming retro adventure game set in a painted afterlife.
If, like me, you would die for Bloodborne’s Doll, then you will love Prison of Husks, an upcoming soulslike where you will awaken as a doll and seek your beloved through a painted world.
Developed by Glass Head Dolls, Prison of Husks will give you the soulslike combat you know (and sometimes hate) by offering everything from parries to pistols which you will need to tune in order to take down difficult enemies.

“Explore dense, interconnected levels full of secrets and shortcuts as you battle pigment-hoarding bosses and seek your lost love,” the official Steam synopsis reads.
In Prison of Husks, the painted afterlife is known as the Lithos Plateau and it is here that you will find a world created by the hand of a pure heart.
However, with the landscape left abandoned and crumbling beneath your feet, you will need to seek your love whilst also discovering what happened to the dedicated painter.
As you engage in relentless combat, you will need to manage your damage output and parries as well as modify your build with Rings and Brooches.

Prison of Husks offers a wide arsenal of weapons to experiment with as you take on complex level designs inspired by previous Souls games.
“As you search for your dear, you may assist others whose hearts ache and restore love. However you will also face off against bosses whose desires for one another stand in your way.”
Prison of Husks was announced just recently and so does not yet have a release date but if you are a fan of Souls games, especially Bloodborne, then you will want to add this epic new addition to your wishlist over on Steam.
Not only that but a free demo is now also available on the PC storefront which will give you the perfect opportunity to try before you buy.
