The PlayStation 5 edition of Dave The Diver is coming to PlayStation Plus this month, and you all need to play it.

Some of the latest additions to PlayStation Plus have been pretty good up to now, like earlier this week when three new Essential tier titles dropped.

One of these games was Immortals Of Aveum, a quick-paced magical first-person shooter you shouldn’t sleep on

That being said if those didn’t catch your eye fear not, as on the same day those titles dropped another announcement was made, confirming the lovely Dave The Diver game will be joining the Extra game catalogue.

For those who haven’t played it, Dave The Diver follows, you’ll never believe it, a diver called Dave, who runs a successful sushi restaurant but must explore the sea to find the next big catch.

While the initial concept was to simply catch fish and trade them in for the big bucks, plans quickly changed as the developers introduced more and more content.

In the game you can explore the sea, cook delicious meals in Cooking Mama style minigames, race seahorses, take photos and much much more.

The game even crossed over with another sea-faring indie game, Dredge, a demo of which is available with no strings attached on the PlayStation store.

Even the mighty kaiju Godzilla couldn’t help but get involved in the fun, with an upcoming DLC expansion.

It’s a phenomenal game and it packs a lot of charm, it’s also perfect for those wanting to take a step back from AAA titles and try something a bit more laid back in terms of gameplay.

Dave The Diver will be officially reeled in by PlayStation Plus on 16 April, though you’ll need an active subscription to either PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium to play it.

Please don’t sleep on this one, it’s well-worth a try and who knows, it might just become your new favourite game.
