PlayStation Plus subscribers are already hooked on a new addition to their subscriptions; it’s going to ruin lives.

There are a lot of great games out right now, and there are so many more still to come. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is doing great, for example, and Doom: The Dark Ages comes out later this month as well.

It’s quite fortunate really because those who were excited to play GTA VI this year were hit with a delay.

PlayStation Plus subscribers also have some great stuff to play this month, including Ark: Survival Ascended, Warhammer 40k: Boltgun and the game we’re talking about today…a little game called Balatro. Maybe you’ve heard of it.

The deck-building roguelike is the latest free title available for all PlayStation Plus users, and it’s already ruining lives.

“I just recommend playing Balatro to experience what crack is like,” read an interesting review of the game, which went on to add, “I just can't stop!!! I played it on the Switch last year a lot, but now I'm addicted again. It's just the perfect game to play for half an hour (or hours like me today haha).”

The comments shared reflected similar opinions, and it’s clear there are going to be a lot of new players caught in the game's clutches over the next few weeks.

“Oh no, I've only just kicked my Slay the Spire addiction,” read one comment, while another player said they’re already “absolutely addicted".

I’ve played it and while I’m not as hooked as everyone else, I will say that when you get a good streak going, you don’t want to put it down until you’ve won.

While Balatro is a fantastic game, no doubt it’s still worth checking out the other two titles, Ark: Survival Ascended and Warhammer 40k: Boltgun; the latter is a great choice for those who enjoy shooters like Doom.
