One PlayStation user has reported on Reddit a very cheap payment for a PlayStation Plus subscription and it has left other players confused and surprised.

The Redditor ‘nothing533439878’ came to the PlayStation Plus subreddit and declared, “Just got PS plus premium for 0.06 dollars (for 1 day) AMA”

The thread caused instant confusion mostly because it’s hard to fathom why somebody would only pay $0.06 for one day of the PlayStation service.

Further down the thread, the original user did break down what they did with those simple 24 hours.

“I wanted to see Sony pictures core (when I open it it shows a white screen and doesn’t work) and I wanted to try premium games and I also wanted to try streaming games and it was all a lot of fun best 0.06$ I’ve ever spent, probably.”

Of course, Reddit had some humour for the thread, though most people jumped in to say something along the lines of “Don’t forget to turn off auto-renew.”

Because a one-day experiment can soon get pricey if this is forgotten.

I didn’t even know you could pay for just one day of PlayStation Plus and it seems like a decent way to give certain services a try.

This is particularly handy if you want to test out cloud streaming and are unsure whether your network speeds will support decent play.

It sounds like that’s what this user was doing.

There was a little confusion, however, as the post shows a 12-month subscription as the main image at checkout.

One reply said, “Does your credit card get charged more than 6 pennies for 1 purchase?”

Another user also had a question, saying, “How? I'm kinda confused, and it shows 12 months.”

Confusion aside, it would be interesting to see Sony implement one-day passes across the world.
