PlayStation Plus gamers can claim free store credit now, but you don't have forever

Sony may have plans to shut down its PlayStation Stars membership scheme but in the meantime, users still have a chance to earn themselves some free store credit courtesy of a brand-new campaign.

Available throughout June, a new campaign has gone live on the PlayStation Stars app which will allow users to bag themselves 50 points by taking on their backlogs.

I think 99% of us have a backlog that only ever seems to get bigger so this will be the perfect way to whittle it down, play an incredible game and earn some points which can be exchanged for free store credit.

With game prices increasing each year, any little will help and so if you are a PS Stars member, don’t miss out on this limited-time campaign.

“Backlog? What backlog? Grow your game collection by adding this month’s batch of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and play any one of them to net some sweet Points,” the description reads.

The games in question are: NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game, and Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

So are any of these worth it?

NBA 2K25 will be perfect for any sports fans out there, especially if they are partial to a bit of basketball, whereas Alone in the Dark will appeal to those who love a survival horror and a remake of a 1992 classic.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk offers heaps of fun thanks to the 3D platformer offering a unique artstyle as players battle rival crews and dispatch militarized police to conquer the five boroughs of New Amsterdam.

DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game is pretty much what it says on the tin. You will play as a deer in a sandbox world where you can destroy everything and anything with your fellow animal companions.

Last but not least, Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the most recent expansion in the Destiny 2 universe but can definitely be played as a standalone if you care more about the sci-fi aspects of the game than the story.

All in all, this is a decent selection so if any have taken your fancy this month, make sure you activate the PS Stars campaign first to bag yourself some free points.
