If you’re a member of PlayStation Plus’ extra or premium tiers and you’re on the lookout for something new to play, then you’ve come to the right place.

Fellow subscribers have a recommendation for those of you seeking out a new open-world title.

If you’ve yet to try Days Gone, perhaps it’s time to.

I’ll be honest, Days Gone certainly isn’t one of the best open-world games I’ve played, but it’s not at all bad either.

For me, it falls into the category of simply being ‘good’, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but if you’re just on the lookout for a thrilling, action-packed open-world adventure, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by what you find here.

Days Gone Remastered is on the way very soon.

You’ve heard my thoughts but allow me to share some fellow player testimonials.

“I'd never played a game that genuinely made me run in fear muttering ‘s**t, s**t, s**t’ under my breath until this one. When you accidentally disturb a hoard, it's one of the most adrenaline causing moments I've ever had playing video games,” wrote Reddit user wehttamman.

“Days Gone is one of the few games I have gotten the platinum for! I would argue it’s one of the best games I have played in the last five years,” added Low_Abbreivations185.

“Days Gone is absolutely fantastic,” remarked Randy___Watson.

I will add that I’ve got a few friends who have played Days Gone and they each came out pleasantly surprised.

I think perhaps some people got caught up in the narrative at launch that it was a ‘bad’ game.

Admittedly, it did launch with a fair few bugs, but those are long gone.

The only reason you may want to hold off is because Days Gone Remastered is on the way.

Launching on 25 April, game owners will be able to upgrade for $10.

Unfortunately, the PlayStation Plus version is not eligible for this so do keep that in mind.
