PlayStation Plus free games for November update leaves fans heartbroken

We’re losing some great games!

PlayStation Plus is about to lose some great games from its service and fans are heartbroken, to say the least.

If you subscribe to the basic tier, PlayStation Plus Essential, you get a small selection of video games each month that you can keep as long as you have an active subscription. You also get additional bonuses such as free DLC, discounts and more.

Check out the Kingdom Hearts III trailer below!

However, if you subscribe to either PS Plus Extra or Premium, you get a ton more video games to choose from, hundreds in fact. With Premium, you will have access to retro classics too as well as free movies, game streaming and free trials.

Yet, there is one major caveat with the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers, and that's that not all games will remain on the service forever. Some will go and return, while some you may never see again.

The plus side is that when a batch of games leaves, a bunch of new ones arrive. Regardless, if there are ever any games in PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers that you fancy playing, it might be wise not to leave them on the backburner, just in case.

With that in mind, 18 titles are leaving PS Plus on 18 November 2024 to make way for a new batch, and those games leaving are:

  • Blasphemous (PS4)
  • Chorus (PS5/PS4)
  • Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS4)
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising (PS5/PS4)
  • GTA: San Andreas - Definitive Edition (PS5/PS4)
  • Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory (PS4)
  • Kingdom Hearts III (PS4)
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (PS4)
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (PS4)
  • Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series (PS5/PS4)
  • Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON (PS4)
  • Moving Out (PS4)
  • Overcooked 2 (PS4)
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
  • Superliminal (PS5/PS4)
  • Teardown (PS5)
  • The Sims 4: City Living (PS4)
  • What Remains of Edith Finch (PS5/PS4)

“Didn't they just re-add Red Dead Redemption 2 fairly recently?” said Redditor RiggityRow. “Just long enough to get a sizable number of people to download and play the game but not finish it, so they have to buy it when it leaves,” B-Bog replied.

“This sucks, they remove games too quickly,” exclaimed supernova0791.

“Oh damn. I might play San Andreas and Kingdom Hearts 3 before they leave,” DoctorGolho claimed.

“Ouch, the catalogue just lost a lot of great games this month,” said a disappointed InsetSnow943.

So the moral of the story is, play some of the above games before it’s too late!
