This month PlayStation users subscribed to Sony’s subscription service can add several titles to their library at no additional cost, all part of the Essential tier subscription.

One such title is Ghostrunner II, the sequel to highly-rated action-platformer Ghostrunner, which was released in 2020.

The game was the subject of a Reddit thread encouraging PlayStation users to give it a try, describing it as “stunning,” but “extremely difficult, even harder than Elden Ring.”

The player went on to say, “It’s not a comfy game at all, but if you love challenges you might enjoy it."

Pretty high praise to compare it to Elden Ring in terms of difficulty, but with its lightning-fast movement and combat, it’ll certainly be a challenge for the majority of gamers.

Players had a lot to say about the game, and while many confessed the difficulty just wasn’t for them, they still found time to praise it overall.

“I tried the first game and it wasn't for me. Good addition for those who can get into the gameplay loop though," said one user.

“Treat it as a puzzle. Die a few times while experimenting the best route to kill the enemies. There is also a two hit modifier in Ghostrunner if you ever want it to be easier. I expect the second game has it as well," said another.

“It's a puzzle first and foremost. You need to keep repeating till you 'solve' it," read one comment.

Ghostrunner II can be added to your PlayStation library right now, so if you’re in the mood for a challenge give it a go.
