If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, particularly on the extra or premium tier, it can be hard choosing what to play next. After all, there’s such a vast array of games to choose from.

That’s where I come in. If you’re here, I take it that means you’re on the lookout for an open-world RPG to sink your teeth into. Well, I have just the recommendation. Extra and premium tier users can currently download and enjoy the excellent Tales of Arise which just so happens to boast an impressive rating of 4.65 over on the PlayStation Store. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Tales of Arise is the 17th entry in the Tales series, although you can play it without any prior experience with the franchise.

Take a look at Tales of Arise in action below.

“For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom,” reads the synopsis. “Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a diverse cast of characters, intuitive and rewarding combat system, and a captivating story set in a lush world worth fighting for, Tales of Arise delivers a first-class JRPG experience.”

Over on Metacritic, the game boasts a very respectable score of 87. While reviews and ratings are one thing, I know a game’s length can be a major deciding factor for many when they’re picking what to tackle next. According to HowLongToBeat, it’ll take you around 40.5 hours to complete Tales of Arise’s main quest, or 70.5 hours if you want to reach 100% completion.

If you don’t have PlayStation Plus, it’s not all bad news. There is actually a free demo of Tales of Arise available on the PlayStation Store which anyone can sample.
