It’s always nice to get some quality video game-related freebies whether it comes in the form of the prospect of free store credit or digital collectables that can be acquired with the likes of PlayStation Stars.

Sony’s PlayStation Stars launched in 2022, gifting willing partakers with digital collectables (not NFTs) and reward points which can be redeemed against select video games via the PlayStation Store or even digital store credit. Granted, it might take you a while to acquire the free £5 or £20 store credit to spend on the PS Store, but your patience will eventually pay off.

This week, Sony has launched the latest campaigns for PlayStation Stars and as with most campaigns, the rewards are easy to claim. For starters, you can earn 50 points for playing either Control: Ultimate Edition, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, Sea of Stars or Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Then a further 50 points for playing one of the titles included in March’s PS Plus Essential offerings.

As for the digital goodies, you can earn the ‘Slugger’ baseball bat to proudly display on your digital cabinet via the PlayStation mobile app. All you have to do to grab the ‘Slugger’ digital reward is play MLB The Show 24 before 31 July. Easy Peasy. This particular campaign goes live on 15 March.

Other digital collectables up for grabs this month with PlayStation Stars include the ‘Symbiote Cannister’ for earning the ‘Exterminator’ trophy in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a Boomer or Chorizo collectable from playing one of a selected batch of Far Cry games, and finally, the ‘Melancholy and the Finite Sadness’ collectable for playing Drums Rock, Ragnarock, Rock Band 4 or The Artful Escape.

Be sure to claim the free reward points and digital collectables with PlayStation Stars as soon as possible to avoid missing out. MLB The Show 24 releases on 19 March for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
