Sony may not yet have announced the PlayStation 6 but with the PlayStation 5 rapidly approaching the end of its suspected lifespan, fans have begun speculating over what the next-generation of consoles could look like.
Let’s face it, PlayStation consoles have had a bit of a glow up since the PlayStation 1 was released way back in 1994.
Well, that depends on who you ask.

While some fans enjoyed the smaller and more compact designs of the PS1 and PS2, others prefer the sleeker, albeit bigger, PlayStation 5.
However, with PlayStation consoles slowly getting bigger and bigger as technology advances, it would not be surprising to see the PS6 tower over previous iterations.
At the time of writing, the PS5 has been out in the world for almost five years but many would agree that it seems a lot shorter thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and stock shortages that plagued Sony back in 2020.
As a result, the thought of the PS6 being close to launch is hard to believe.

Multiple rumours over the past year have hinted at the PS6 being in active development which begs the question as to what it could look like.
Well, according to user tuchaioc over on r/playstation, the design of each PlayStation console can be compared to buildings all across the world.
In a collage of architectural images, this user has an idea of what the PS6 could look like thanks to a beautiful accompanying diagram.
Their diagram suggests a much slimmer console but featuring a sharp point, making it almost look like a very thin slice of cheese.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
It remains to be seen what the PlayStation 6 will look like, but if the rumours are to be believed, we don’t have long to find out.
