Despite the news that prices for PlayStation 5 hardware were set to increase across the United States, Sony is still pulling out all of the stops to flog its current-gen consoles.
One way of achieving that is by launching a brand-new PlayStation 5 bundle just in time for the holiday period.
Arriving on 5 September, Sony is releasing the NBA 2K26 PS5 Slim Bundle which will include the PS5 Slim itself (along with a disc drive), DualSense Controller and the upcoming NBA 2K26.
Although there is not yet a price alongside the announcement, we can expect it to be Sony’s most expensive PlayStation 5 bundle yet following the hardware price increase on 21 August.

The bundle will launch on the same day that NBA 2K26 arrives on PS5, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch so if you were already looking to purchase the game and are still in the market for a PS5 console, this bundle could suit you.
As for NBA 2K26, the latest entry in the NBA 2K series will see you able to build your legend in MyCAREER mode, collect and compete with stars in MyTEAM, and become the boss in MyNBA.
With hyper realistic graphics, players can expect to play virtual basketball like never before as they challenge friends and rivals in NBA 2K26’s various competitive modes.
Assemble a star-studded roster, take part in single-player and multiplayer modes, acquire new cards and climb the competitive ranks in fast-paced and dynamic gameplay.

As for the NBA 2K26 PS5 Slim Bundle, availability of the bundle will vary by region so if you want to grab yourself this latest piece of hardware, make sure to be ready to go on 5 September.
We can assume that Sony will release its cost closer to launch day and we can only hope that the recent hardware price increase does not affect this brand-new bundle too much.
