With multiple incredible games set to be released this year, now is the time that we can chill ahead of the storm.

However, Sony is seemingly giving us no chance to breathe with its January PlayStation Plus offerings which offers Extra members the chance to access over 160 hours of games at no extra cost.

Check out the story trailer for God of War Ragnarök below!

So if you want to sink some hours into a game this month, then the following titles will be the perfect way to do so.

First is God of War Ragnarök which is perfect for those yet to play the sequel to the much-loved God of War from 2018.

This sequel continues the adventures of Kratos and his son Atreus as they explore the mythic Nine Realms in search of answers and allies. Bonus points for the most accurate depiction of Thor in media.

There is also Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, a spin-off from the Like a Dragon series that follows the once-legendary yakuza who faked his own death and abandoned his name in the sake of protecting his family.

However, he soon learns that hiding is sometimes impossible.

PS Plus Extra members can also grab Sayonara Wild Hearts, a rhythm game following the story of a heartbroken young woman through a surrealistic landscape.

Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG where each day is decided by the roll of dice. This will be the perfect time to play this unique title ahead of the launch of its sequel on 31 January.

There are also Orcs Must Die! 3, an action tower-defence title with orc-slaying on a “unimaginable scale” and SD Gundam Battle Alliance, an action RPG where you can smash foes solo or with friends in thrilling mechanised combat.

Last but not least there is the Cyberpunk 2077 inspired RPG, ANNO: Mutationem, sand-filled RPG Atlas Fallen and for those on a gambling buzz following Balatro, there is Poker Club.

All of these titles are available for free on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 right now.
