New RPG is like Stardew Valley Meets Diablo, I'm All In

Farming meets dungeon crawling

Combining the pixel-art management gameplay from Stardew Valley with the darker features of Diablo, this upcoming action-adventure RPG with crafting and farming mechanics offers immersive and multifaceted progression.

Developed by Cygnus Cross, Emberville is an upcoming PC and Steam Deck title where players will need to help the citizens of Emberville rebuild their town.

Much like your goal in titles such as Stardew Valley, Emberville adds a touch more danger, as well as rebuilding the town, players will also have to protect its villagers from the clutches of wicked forces.

However, you will luckily be accompanied by a “mysterious and loyal friend”.

“Awaken with no memories inside the Vitromotus, a vast underground world created as a magical dungeon where death no longer lasts,” the official Steam synopsis for Emberville reads.

“Explore its depths, battle dangerous creatures, rescue survivors, and rebuild the ruined town of Emberville while uncovering the truth behind this prison.”

Set to launch some time in 2026, Emberville will see you combine crafting and combat in order to explore the treacherous corridors of a massive, ever-changing dungeon.

Thanks to a large variety of weapons, skills, and abilities, combat is fast-paced and reminiscent of titles such as Diablo.

Levelling Up Is Crucial

Another familiar feature is the ability to progress with players able to level up both weapons and armour in order to unlock brand-new classes.

As you level up, you will be able to craft and gather more resources, making you strong enough to rescue NPCs who are capable of rebuilding Emberville, uncovering its hidden secrets and treasures.

When you are not crawling the dungeons, you will be able to farm, gather and craft.

By growing crops, gathering plants, wood and minerals, and crafting items, you will unlock the ability to level up, learn skills, as well as blueprints and recipes.

In Emberville, players will gain access to a fully customisable area allowing them to place houses, buildings and objects at will, as well as perfecting the perfect chill spot.

Thanks to a giant, procedurally generated world with a variety of events, biomes, enemies, treasures, and more, Emberville is packed full to the brim with content, so there'll always be something new every time you boot it up.

One thing is for sure - this is getting added to my wishlist quicker than a Slime jumps on me in the mines in Stardew Valley! Or... Something like that.
