Can you believe that Bethesda has finally made reference to The Elder Scrolls VI?

Don’t get too excited; there’s nothing in the way of a new trailer or release date.

Instead, the studio is partnering with Make-A-Wish on an auction where the winner will gain the chance to design one of the game’s NPCs.

It’s a lovely initiative and already, the bidding has surpassed a whopping $33,000, correct at the time of writing.

Interestingly, a similar competition was run ahead of Starfield’s original planned release - roughly two and a half years ahead to be exact.

Eventually, the game was delayed a year from 2022 to 2023, but it was 2022 that Bethesda was aiming for when the competition arose.

Could that mean that The Elder Scrolls VI is targeting a 2027 release? Perhaps.

In the meantime, I have something else to keep you busy.

Skyrim boasts a fantastic modding community, and ‘Northpoint SE’ is a great expansion-sized creation that PC players can download for free.

The Elder Scrolls VI’s original teaser trailer remains all we have to show.

‘Northpoint SE’ is the work of NexusMods user ionis.

“This mod allows you to explore Northpoint, the northern barony of High Rock located on the northern coast of Rivenspire. Northpoint is a winter wonderland, filled with snow, plague, and mystery,” the mod’s description teases.

If you download ‘Northpoint SE’, you’ll gain access to the new Northpoint worldspace, featuring four unique regions each with their own weather systems, one large city, and 13 new dungeons.

The mod also includes four new creatures (Grahl, Deadly Grahl, Sheep, and Wereboar), one new weapon set (Bannerman), three new armour pieces (Bannerman Heavy Helm, Bannerman Light Armour, and Bannerman Mail Armour), five unique collectible shields, as well as various new ingredients, books, and notes.

Once downloaded, you’ll want to travel due west of Dawnstar, heading towards the mod’s Northpoint Landing.

You may have played ‘Northpoint SE’ before as it’s been around a couple of years but the mod isn’t a one-and-done deal.

It’s regularly updated, with modder TheShiningAbsol currently maintaining matters, so it may be worth a second go to check out what’s new.

Either way, you should find plenty to keep you busy.
