Legacy of the Dragonborn is a free-to-download mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim but this is not just any mod.

Created by icecreamassassin over on Nexus Mods and first released back in 2017, the mod is still being updated to this day with brand-new content arriving alongside each update.

Described as “arguably the best Skyrim mod ever made”, Legacy of the Dragonborn features nearly 4,600 unique items and sets, as well as a guild faction you can start from the ground up.
The guild, known as The Explorer’s Society, includes major quest arcs, and unique mechanics all centered around the Dragonborn Gallery in Solitude.
It is recommended that you start a brand-new save with this mod as Legacy will “change the way you look at Skyrim and change the way you play”.
Since its first upload, Legacy of the Dragonborn has received over 5 million unique downloads so no Skyrim career is complete without trying out this mod.
