Grand Theft Auto fans aren’t entirely convinced that GTA 6 will actually launch on 19 November.

Until pre-orders open, I think we’re all anticipating that third delay; after all, you can’t rush perfection, and that’s all that Rockstar Games is going to want to release.

Suddenly though, I find myself less worried about the wait ahead thanks to a surprise move that’s just been made by Rockstar.

The acclaimed studio has officially launched a modding marketplace that supports both free and paid creations, which means players can now more easily enjoy endless hours of fan-made content.

It’s the Cfx Marketplace that you’ll want to seek out. I should stress that Grand Theft Auto mods have been available online for years from third-party websites.

The benefit of a mod being listed on Cfx Marketplace is that this is a platform officially supported by Rockstar Games.

Cfx Marketplace Offers Both Free Mods and Paid Options That Could Set You Back $100s

It’s a "curated digital storefront where talented FiveM/RedM creators can share and sell their work”, so you won’t just get any old nonsense on there.

Curated is the key word here. Only select modders are currently allowed to list their work on the site, so this is the place to go if you want to download and enjoy the best of the best.

All in all, there are hundreds of mods to choose from, which can lead to countless hours spent enjoying new game experiences.

There are entire map-sized expansions, new characters, new items, new quests, and more, as well as things like scripts if you want to dabble with modding yourself.

For now, it appears that the site mainly caters to GTA V players, although it’s far from the only Rockstar Games title featured.

There are some Red Dead Redemption 2 mods as well which I’ll personally be checking out.

As I said, and this is very important, this is a marketplace, so not every mod is free. In fact, some could set you back several hundred dollars.

That puts the choice in your hands though. You can part with the cash for new experiences within your favourite game, or you can seek out those free options.

At the time of writing, the priciest mod bundle retails for $467.99, oof.

The ‘Activities Bundle’ adds bowling, a laser game, arcades, water activities, a theme park DLC, billiards, a water park, table football, and bungee jumping.

That price is eye watering, but you can kind of see how someone might be sucked in by all of that content.

Needless to say, free creations are a little more streamlined. Examples I found added, say, smoother car controls, seasonal decorations, new mechanics, or simpler new locations.

Regardless of which path you go down, if you’re a GTA V gamer on PC, I can only recommend that you browse the proverbial shelves and see if there’s anything you fancy.
