And it's for charity

If you’re on the lookout for a bargain, you’ve found one, my friend.

Humble Bundle has launched its latest bundle offer, and it’s one for fans of all things spooky.

This month’s ‘Love You to Death’ bundle is horror themed, although it’s a pleasant mix of macabre and cosy variations on that genre.

The bundle, as per usual, requires you to pay at least $12 or £10.53, and doing so will secure you nine games.

If you’re unfamiliar, Humble Bundle does generate money for charity so you can, in fact, pledge as much money for the bundle as you see fit.

As I said, the ‘Love You to Death’ edition features nine stellar titles which I’ll now guide you through.

Worth Close To £100, Grab 9 Games For £10.53

Have a Nice Death is up first from developer Magic Design Studios.

This is a charming 2D action roguelike that features a charming animated art style. It landed in 2023 and sees players embody the role of an overworked Death who must restore order to his employees.

Ghost Watchers from Renderise increases the scare factor.

This one only landed last year and is an online co-op horror where you’ll hunt ghosts in abandoned houses.

It’s very Phasmophobia-esque, although I’d say the scares are a bit more intense.

Devour is another co-op inclusion that can be enjoyed by one to four players.

“Stop possessed cultists before they drag you to hell. Run. Scream. Hide. Just don't get caught,” reads the synopsis from Straight Back Games.

It’s a great spooky laugh to play with friends if you’ve got nerves of steel.

Iron Lung is next, and it’s a game that perhaps needs no introduction.

Iron Lung,
David Szymanski

Recently adapted into a film, the short horror from David Szymanski sees players trapped onboard a submarine in an ocean of blood.

If you’re after something with a retro flavouring, KIRA LLC’s Lunacid could be the game for you.

It’s a dark fantasy dungeon crawler with over 75 weapons and 35 unique spells for you to weild. There’s a 90s feel about it, despite the fact that it launched in 2023.

Airdorf Games’ Faith: The Unholy Trinity has made the line-up and should also scratch that retro itch.

“What you are about to do has not been approved by the Vatican,” reads the synopsis.

“As a young priest, struggle against demons, cultists, and your own weakening faith in this pixel horror game inspired by the era of classic 8-bit gaming and the Satanic Panic of the 1980s.”

If it’s a first-person survival horror you fancy, The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication fits the bill.

This 2024 release from Softstar Entertainment follows four characters as they evade ghosts, unravel puzzles, and “unearth a sinister conspiracy”.

It’s set within Wen Hua University, making use of Taiwanese folklore and myths.

Life Eater is a rather divisive game.

It’s a “horror fantasy kidnapping simulator” where players must become intrusively familiar with their targets as they serve as a dark god.

You can see why that might cause some concern but the positive reviews are bountiful.

Without a Dawn is the game that rounds us out.

This is a visual novel horror from Jesse Makkonen that follows a woman who “seeks refuge from her constant, restless thoughts in a remote cabin”.

“There are no distractions in the profound silence and isolation, but the eerie sound of the cold wind weaving through the trees keeps her awake. In the dark stillness of the night, the silence has begun to take on physical form.”

The bundle is only available on PC but with an estimated value of close to £100, it’s not an offer to miss.
