Despite being 2023’s best-selling game of the year, Hogwarts Legacy has done little to offer fans new and exciting content.

However, for those who own Hogwarts Legacy on PC, there are plenty of ways to get stuck into new content thanks to the RPG’s dedicated modding community.

With Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. actively working on a Hogwarts Legacy sequel, we can assume that it will be radio silence when it comes to any official patches or updates.

That being said, thanks to creators such as Sh4ii over on CurseForge, we can still enjoy the game in new and unique ways.

In this instance, we can experience the Harry Potter-inspired RPG via first-person as opposed to its default third-person mode.

Simply titled ‘First Person’, this mod “adds a (kinda janky) first person view to the game” which will allow you to “play the game through a new perspective.”

As you can see, this mod won’t offer the smoothest performance but considering it was created by one person, it is still a massive undertaking.

Once downloaded, players will be able to switch between first and third-person via a toggle so if there are certain scenes that you do not want to see in first-person (those spiders for one), you will be able to rectify this.

It seems as though First Person already has a legion of fans with the download almost reaching 10,000.

Not only that but user ina_rs recently took to r/HarryPotterGame to share some gameplay of the mod, calling it “amazing”.

“Back to the game with a new playthrough using first person mod, it's amazing!” They shared, alongside a 30-second video.

“It completely changes the experience and feels so immersive.”

It seems as though other Hogwarts Legacy players would also appreciate this free-to-download mod.

“I didn’t finish the game because I don't enjoy 3rd person games and now I need this and go replay,” one user shared.

Another agreed, adding, “This not being an option in vanilla is criminal, this looks so cool.”

First Person is free to download on the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy right now.
