Rockstar is far from done with updating Grand Theft Auto V despite its successor releasing later this year and now fans of the 2013 title can experience the game in its best state yet.

The update, which was first added to Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S back in 2022, has now arrived on PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or Epic Games.

In the meantime, check out the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI below!

That means that the features once only available for console users can now be experienced on PC, including improved graphics, performance, and audio settings.

Additionally, if you already own GTA 5 on PC, you can claim this free update for absolutely free which includes the ability to migrate both your Story Mode and Online Mode progress.

Known as the Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced version, this will replace the current Legacy version of the game so there is no reason not to download the update.

So what does the update include?

Well, for the first time in GTA 5 PC history, players will get to experience ray-tracing, ambient occlusion, and global illumination so the game will look better than ever before.

There is also support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS and players can expect much quicker loading times.

Graphics will also look better than ever before thanks to enhanced support for higher resolutions, higher aspect ratios, and higher framerates which all comes alongside enhanced audio thanks to Dolby Atmos support.

That means that players will be able to experience much clearer dialogue, cinematics, and music.

Grand Theft Auto Online players will also be welcoming some free new updates including new cars, new challenges, and more.

Additionally, if you are new to GTA Online, you will be able to claim a whopping GTA$4,000,000 to get you started in your criminal enterprises.
