One of Fallout 4’s most iconic locations is the Glowing Sea, a region of the Commonwealth that just so happens to be the largest area of high radiation as a result of a single nuclear bomb.

Due to this, it is one of the most dangerous areas in Fallout 4 and not a place that you want to spend a lot of time in.

Want to dive into the Fallout series after enjoying the show? We have you covered below!

However, it is time to buckle up and stock up on RadAway as this brand-new free download adds seven new locations to the Glowing Sea.

The mod, which is now updated for 2025, was created by Matti1235r and adds seven fully-functional and unique settlements to the area, including survival essentials, massive build areas, and improved compatibility.

“Welcome to the harsh, irradiated expanse of the Glowing Sea—an unforgiving wasteland of ruins, radiation, and danger,” the official synopsis reads.

“But now, the Glowing Sea is ready to be transformed into a network of thriving settlements. Equip your Hazmat suit, gather your resources, and lead the charge to establish civilisation in the Commonwealth’s most desolate frontier.”

'7 Glowing Sea Settlements' includes full integration with the map system, supply lines and recruitment beacons as well as dynamic settlement attacks, Minutemen quest integration, and map data updates.

With the settlements located all across the Glowing Sea, you can find their exact locations:

1. Edge of the Glowing Sea. Includes some of the two-storey overpass.

2. Relay Tower ODB-521

3. Forgotten Church

4. Decayed Reactor Site

5. Capsized Factory

6. Skylanes Flight 1665 crash site

7. Federal Supply Cache 84NE

Most importantly, 7 Glowing Sea Settlements is free to download with the modder announcing that they will continue to work on it.

So if you want to get stuck into even more Fallout 4 content, don’t miss out on this unofficial update.
