It's all rather hush-hush

You might not have heard about it, but a free Legend of Zelda download has been released recently.

And no, we’re not referring to the Nintendo Switch Online icons that are about to expire.

In case you’re desperate to claim any of those, they leave the Switch today, so get moving.

As for this freebie, it’s for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Link needs your help in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

As unlikely as it is that you’re unaware that a new Legend of Zelda game recently launched, we’re here to remind you just in case.

You could have been busy, we won’t judge... much.

Described as a “royal success” of a game, it’s something that’s been widely discussed in GAMINGbible’s review, which you should definitely check out if you haven’t already.

The Nintendo title released to much praise, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement; this is where the new free download comes into play.

Before you panic that there’s a lot of patch notes to read through, Nintendo has kept this download short and sweet. Like Sabrina Carpenter, only way less sassy or sexy.

Here are the details about the patch in full:

  • Fixed an issue where an invisible wall at the entrance to Goron City would impede progress during a Main Quest at Eldin Volcano.
  • Fixed an issue at a particular location where the player could target empty space, then bind to that target and pull in a way that would impede progress.
  • Fixed various issues to create a smoother gaming experience.

No, seriously, this is it.

Not that we’re complaining, just we’re used to larger patches than this one.

Should you not be interested in being able to magically make beds appear while playing as Zelda (if not, why not?), there are secrets still to be found in classic Legend of Zelda experiences.

After 24 long years, a new secret in Majora’s Mask has been discovered.

Play as Link or play as Zelda; either way, there’s something for you to check out.
