Pokémon Legends: Z-A leak reveals new evolution for a classic 'Mon

Look how they massacred my boy...

We finally have our first look at a mega evolution for one of Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s starter ‘Mons… and fans absolutely hate it.

Thank you in advance to Comicbook's Tyler Fischer for the original source!

Centro LEAKS, the most well-known leaker of all things Pokémon, revealed our first look at Feraligatr’s mega evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A over the weekend, and it’s pretty fair to say the comments over on Twitter are less than complimentary.

“We’ve seen two Megas so far, and both look pretty underwhelming... almost identical to their base forms,” commented user @terastalstar.

“Not a great start. Hopefully the rest are better.”

“Welp it looks better than Mega Starmie, but it still is not the best. It isn’t even as bad like some people say, but just ok,” replied user @KingDynami47851.

“However a lot of Mega Forms looked even more bland Mega Blastoise was just Blastoise with an extra cannon and Mega Absol was just Absol with wings.”

To be fair, you can’t see much of Mega Feraligatr in the picture Centro LEAKS provided, but I think “underwhelming” is probably the fairest way to put it.

It kinda just looks like they slapped a red hat on it and called it a day. Poor guy looks more like a Digimon than a Pokémon.

Of course, this leak could be subject to change. For a start, it might just be straight up fake, and even if it isn’t, it could be based on older designs.

We’ll have to wait until Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s official release on the Nintendo Switch towards the end of the year to be certain, but it’s not looking great at the moment.

Here’s just hoping they don’t screw up Meganium too. I mean, come on guys, it’s got “mega” in the name. If you don’t nail that one, why are we even bothering?
