Sometimes our competitive nature can get in the way of having good old, simple fun when it comes to our multiplayer games, and perhaps no online game emphasises fun quite like Splatoon 3.

Released in September 2022 for Nintendo Switch, while not mixing up the formula too much in comparison to its predecessors, Splatoon 3 was still met with critical acclaim from reviewers and fans alike garnering a score of 83 on the aggregate website, Metacritic. Splatoon 3 also went on to be a commercial success for Nintendo’s hybrid console.

In our review of Splatoon 3, our writer said: “I’m in love with Splatoon 3, and writing this, I’m already itching to get back into the action. The fast-paced gameplay is as fluid and compelling as ever, and the various loveable residents of Splatsville are going to become fan favourites, fast.”

It doesn't matter which of our favourite video games it is, it’s always nice to be gifted with a plethora of freebies and the upcoming Spring Fest for Splatoon 3 will bring just that. “The winter chill is starting to warm, plants are blooming and Fresh Season 2024 is sprouting a special Spring Fest this April! Stay tuned for more details!” tweeted the official Splatoon Twitter account.

The Splatoon Twitter account hints that players must keep a close eye on the SRL News Channel via their Nintendo Switch to claim the DLC, as well as to keep up to date on event times.
