With the Nintendo Switch 2 just a few weeks away, all eyes will be on the next Pokémon game to emerge, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, however, many fans are eagerly awaiting news on the next mainline title.
Pokémon games have become something to look forward to with each new Nintendo console, and the next game could fix many of the issues we saw with the last outing.
Our next big Pokémon adventure will be part of the legends spin-off series
A new, more powerful Nintendo console is just what the franchise needs, and rumours about that game’s setting are starting to gather steam.

Centro Leaks, over on Twitter, has posted more details about the next Pokémon game, claiming that fans will be heading off to an archipelago inspired by the Greek islands.
The game is currently codenamed Gaia, and “will take place in the Cyclades.”
This could be a dream setting for the series, given the beauty of the country, along with the rich history and mythology that could give way to some unique Pokémon.
Fans are seeing this as a genius move, and one that can prove fruitful for the franchise.

“The 12 gods of the Greek pantheon plus Hades matches up perfectly with 8 gym leaders, the elite 4, and the champion,” said Ovguy8, on Reddit, after news broke there.
Another fan comments, “A Poké-underworld DLC with a Greek tragedy story that focuses on character flaws and overcoming them would be the best thing Game Freak ever puts out.”
Of course, this is just a rumour, at this point, but it’s one that has been doing the rounds since the big Pokémon leak last year.
On Twitter, one fan notes, “My first take on this is that we are probably seeing variants of Hoenn Pokémon. Lots of water in Hoenn as well.”
