An official reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 may be less forthcoming, but so-called leaks of the new console are in abundance.

Some can be trusted, others less so.

This latest Switch leak's authenticity is still in question. That said, from what Nintendo fans have seen thus far, they’re relatively pleased with the console’s design.

On Reddit (need we keep asking “where else?”), the Switch 2’s design has been “revealed”.

Calling all Nintendo gamers – have you played Mario & Luigi: Brothership?

Since its discovery, some of the claims made have been proven to be false, therefore calling into question just how valid the overall design is.

Nonetheless, the images shown have piqued fans’ interest.

For the most part, they’re loving what they’ve seen, which isn't too dissimilar to the beloved console we have right now.

“I click a link of leaks of the Switch successor. It looks like a better Switch,” stated QuatreNox , before adding, “I don't really know what I expected.”

To this, another fan said, “Well, the Switch is damn near a perfect concept already. Looks like there was no need for a new gimmick, and I kinda agree.”

We’ve become accustomed to dramatic design changes thanks to PlayStation and Xbox battling it out over who can make the most attractive hardware.

Yet, why fix something that isn’t broken? There’s a reason we parrot “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” often: it rings true.

“This one actually looks legit,” posted leviathab13186, “If this is true, I dig it. Better Joycon connection it looks like.”

While we’re on the topic of Joycons, fans would rather Nintendo address the drifting issue than radically alter the Switch’s appearance.

As someone who’s suffered from the dreaded Joycon drift, I agree that fixing the problem should be top priority.

“I HOPE this is true. I really wish it's just a better, bigger, switch. Nothing else. More modern, end of story. Please,” begged IamDanLP.

The fans have revealed what they want, but has Nintendo taken note?
