The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is out now - and while it’s no Breath of the Wild, it does offer up a delightful top-down experience.

Of course, it’s hugely exciting to play as Zelda, and the echoes mechanic is a fun addition.

In our review, GAMINGbible’s Ewan Moore awarded the game a score of nine, writing, “It may have taken nearly four decades, but the first mainline Zelda game with the titular princess in the lead role was worth the wait.”

“This is a magnificent adventure that whizzes and pops with imagination, and proudly stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best of Link’s tales. If this is the Switch’s final Zelda game - and surely it has to be - then we’re going out on a high,” he continued.

If the game continues to consume your time and thoughts, you may want to check out Nintendo’s latest batch of freebies.

Take a look at The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom in action below.

A new batch of Nintendo Switch Online backgrounds, frames, and icons have now been made available.

There are 10 characters to choose from, in addition to four backgrounds and four frames.

While the characters will set you back 10 platinum points, the frames and backgrounds are just 5 platinum points each.

Characters, of course, include Zelda and Link as well as General Wright, the King of Hyrule, and Minister Lefte.

Club Boarblin, Lizalfos, Caromadillo, Keese, and Tweelus are also available to select, if you’d rather rep your favourite enemy type.

I want to remind you that these items are free as platinum points are Nintendo's free currency.

You’ve probably accrued them without even knowing, but you can find information on how to gather more via My Nintendo Rewards.

Just linking your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account could set you up with a juicy 100 points.

You can also earn 20 points per week by accessing NSO.

This Echoes of Wisdom batch of rewards will refresh on Thursday 10 October so act now if anything takes your eye.
