Did you know that yesterday was Mario Day?

Now you do. Mario Day is celebrated on 10 March every year. Mar 10 … it looks like the word Mario.

If you didn’t realise until this very moment, do not worry.

You still have the opportunity to get involved with the ongoing festivities.

UK retailer Game is hosting a giveaway to celebrate Mario Day and you have several days left to enter.

The lucky winner will walk away with a Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Bundle.

That includes the white OLED Nintendo Switch, as well as a digital copy of Super Mario Bros. Wonder and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a fantastic game. It’s well worth playing if you haven’t picked it up already.

To enter, simply head on over to Game’s tweet.

There, you’ll want to like the tweet and drop a reply telling the retailer what your favourite Mario game is.

You can tag a friend for a bonus entry with the winner set to be announced on 17 March.

There’s no information regarding excluded locations so I’m assuming you can enter from anywhere in the world.

While this year’s Mario Day didn’t exactly bring us anything wildly exciting, there is perhaps a good reason for that.

Don’t forget that we’re just a few short weeks away from the Nintendo Switch 2 direct which is due to be held on 2 April.

It’s there that we’ll likely hear about the teased upcoming Mario Kart 9.

Personally, I’m itching for a new 3D Mario, whether that’s an Odyssey sequel or something simply akin to Super Mario 3D World.

Could we receive a double Mario drop? Hm, I’m dubious but I may cross my fingers anyway.

Before then, make sure you enter this giveaway if it’s of interest.

As I said, the winner will be announced on 17 March so while no closing date or time is advertised, I’d get your entry in sooner rather than later to be in with a chance.
